Extensions usually will show up if you browse to your site. Back to FAQ I receive a 401.1 error when I attempt to administer my site locally but I can administer the site remotely. HOWEVER, when I tried to do the upgrade, I got an error. The issue was solved by putting it inside the black USB 2.0 port, instead of the blue USB 3.0 port.

Did you install the FPSE from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components? I don't understand about existing front page. If I open the IIS admin console and right click on the web site, tell it to "start" the service, it says it's already up and running.
